This is an amazing way to get to know local families, local foods and local culture. Every host had great local stories to tell and dishes to serve. Entertainment at ever house. As part of the culture there is a prayer at the beginning and end of every meal - its not my thing but totally respect it as it is what their family culture is wrapped around. Please don't be disrespectful like one of the other guest on my tour. Great value for money that includes pick up and drop off at your accommodation.Posted on Marc TappertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sending a huge thank you to Shaina, Mike and the whole Cook Island Tours team for their kindness and hospitality. Their progressive dinner tour was booked out for two months in advance and for very good reason- it was exceptional! When we explained to them that my father and I had booked a last minute trip to the cook islands for my mothers 71st birthday and that it would most likely be our final trip ever as a family due to her deteriorating Alzheimer's, Shaina was able to accommodate us for the night of her birthday alongside the already booked guests. The food was so delicious, the 3 locals hosts we dined with made us feel like family, the whole tour sang mum happy birthday which she was delighted by, and we even got to dine with two Cook Island princesses. Mum might not have remembered the night the next morning but the photos will last an eternity and it was a moment my father and I will remember forever!Posted on Margie HydeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The progressive dinner tour with Mike and Tenoa was undoubtedly the best thing we have ever done. So glad we made the decision to join. These local story tellers take you into their homes like family and make you feel so accepted, loved and welcome, and we are no longer the same people anymore. We left enriched, educated, fascinated, blissful, grateful and sooooo well fed. Cake number 4 stuffed us over on table 4 though 🤣 cheeky little Bates was a funny bugger. Marks' main course and hospitality was so utterly enjoyable and entree with Aunty Nono, Noa and their family was superb along with the fabulous garden walk. 🌺 We left the tour bursting at the seams but also bursting with happiness and appreciation for the acceptance into the lives of these amazing locals. Do it, or you'll regret missing this chance. Thanks Mike! Great chatting with you as we drove around the island 🏝 ❤️ life changing experience 🙏 ~Margie and RossPosted on James HuckTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Do yourself a solid and book into the progressive food tour!! Having the chance to go to homes of residents on the Island and try home-cooked Rarotongan dishes was a wonderful experience. Everything was so yummy, and we were all very happily and full by the end of the tour. Meitaki to all the families who welcomed us into their homes.Posted on Craig DealeyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
